Hello there and welcome to my “dream!” This online venture of mine is actually quite the crucial piece of a legitimate dream I had the morning of March 18th, 2022; a dream which consequently shattered my foundation of reality while also birthing a brand new perspective for obtaining mere inklings of the universe’s infinite mystery. So through various writings, it is here where I will share with you the thoughts, dreams and philosophies I deem are often overlooked and/or overshadowed by today’s general society.

In the dream mentioned above, to someday be detailed along with many others I have had, I was introduced to a stranger whose first words to me were, “Your name is Mo(U)rning Man.” Unknowing if she meant morning, as in a sunrise, or mourning, as in death and grief, I have since combined the two; highlighting the “YOU” I am writing for today. So while this is my name, you can also call me Zak.

I had this dream while working towards my associates degree in philosophy. Currently, I am in my mid-twenties and have no active plan to return for my bachelors at this time. Whether or not such a day will come, I have instead decided to indulge in writing about various things which kindly encourage a bit of introspection. Mainly, however, my interest lies within the “big” questions like:

“Does God exist?”, “Is there a reason I exist?”, as well as “If the answer to both of these is ‘no,’ then why am I alive?”

That may sound a bit bleak but, during a time of extreme anxiety and depression, I found myself knee-deep in a subject I was then able to use to give voice to the feelings I had forced deep down. Once these fears were where I could see them, I began to “test” the universe by poking around here (philosophy) and there (spirituality) just to see if Something would poke back. Well, after taking a few interesting courses, one of the things I wanted to “poke” the universe with was dreams. I wondered,

“Could a dream be more than the usual blip of subconscious nonsense?” 

Well, seeing that you are presently being welcomed into my “dream,” I wonder if you are now faced with the same question. Either way, I hope you have found yourself in a place that may help you address some of life’s greatest questions. And if you haven’t, try refreshing the page. 😉
